From a young age, Lauren Channon always felt her health needed improvement but she didn’t realise quite how unhealthy she was until she was faced with some truth from a complete stranger. “They pointed out how overweight I was and it was shocking to hear,” recalls Lauren. “It made me realise how out of control my health was and I felt so disappointed in myself. I wanted to refresh my confidence, my health and my life.”

Often relying on food to lift her mood, Lauren had developed unhealthy habits throughout her life. “I had made some terrible habits with food,” admits Lauren. “I wasn’t exercising either so the energy wasn’t being put to use. The weight piled on and it wasn’t long until I had hit 113 kilograms. I didn’t recognise myself anymore and with my health in the state that it was, I was afraid of what the future held. I knew I needed to make a serious change to my lifestyle.”

With a strong desire to change her habits, Lauren began following a Facebook page dedicated to healthy living. “I followed the day to day life of Kristy Brown, a complete stranger to me, who inspired me with her dedication to health and fitness,” shares Lauren. “I didn’t realise it was going to lead to anything, I just saw someone who had taken control of their health and looked great in the process. After a while, I sent Kristy a Facebook message with a few questions and she called me to discuss the program.”

After hearing an overview of the Isagenix® system from Kristy, Lauren felt skeptical about the program. “I was hesitant to start the program,” says Lauren. “I had a lot of questions about how this program differed from other programs. Thankfully, Kristy was there to answer any questions I had and she could point me in the right direction. I knew I needed to make a serious change to my lifestyle so I finally said yes and began my first 30 Day Program after purchasing the President’s Pak.”

It wasn’t long before Lauren began to feel and see results. “My energy increased dramatically and I began to release excess weight,” says Lauren. “I was ecstatic with my results. With my new-found energy I began exercising although it was a bit of a challenge to get started. I experimented with different ways to get my body moving and found that I enjoyed walking with friends, running on my own and performing high intensity workouts in my lounge room with very loud music playing. You just have to find what works for you.”

In conjunction with finding the right exercise, Lauren credits much of her success to her overall lifestyle change. “I incorporate the Isagenix products into my everyday life,” says Lauren. “I find it easy and enjoyable to have a shake every morning so I do that. I do a single Cleanse Day each Thursday because it fits in with my lifestyle and I’m using more of the energy and performance products to help me smash my exercise goals. It’s all about making the products work for you.”

“Through my Isagenix journey, I have been able to release 46 kilograms of excess weight and join an amazing community of like-minded, supportive and inspiring individuals. Being part of the 100 Pound Club, a community that provides me with inspiration, motivation and support, reminds me how far I’ve come and encourages me to smash my goals every single day. The results speak for itself, I can now go into any shop and pick up a piece of clothing off the rack and know it will fit. I have the ability to go for a run which is something I simply couldn’t do before. I have drive and passion and I now feel like nothing can stop me.”

Weight loss should not be considered typical. In a study performed in 2012 by University of Illinois at Chicago researchers, subjects lost an average of 4.1kg with an average of 0.9kg of the loss from visceral fat after 30 days on an Isagenix Program. The subjects also had a greater level of adherence and had more consistent weight loss from week to week compared to subjects on a traditional diet. Always consult your physician before making any dietary changes or starting any nutrition, weight control or exercise program.
