Butcher Trims to Become A Weekend Warrior

Managing one of the few kosher butcher stores in the state of New South Wales came with exhausting 60-hour working weeks and high-level stress for Daniel Tauteka. After such a gruelling week at work, Daniel would spend his weekends catching up on sleep to prepare himself for the week ahead.

“After all that work and time spent sleeping I only had a short period of time to spend with my family and playing with my two young children,” says Daniel. “Even when I did spend time with them I’d sit and watch from afar or wouldn’t even bother going. It was purely down to me feeling fatigued and simply being lazy.”

Daniel always considered himself a yo-yo dieter despite completing many 12-week fitness challenges at his local gym. “I found that my gym’s 12-week challenge was competitive and always in your face. I would always look forward to a big fried breakfast as soon as it finished,” he says. “With the IsaBody Challenge® the extra 4 weeks really made my mindset stronger.”

“Since using the products my stress levels have fallen immensely and I am so much more focused on each task I do,” says Daniel. “My new approach helped me release 36 kgs during my IsaBody Challenge! Now I spend every weekend with my children. From training my son’s footy team to joining them on flying foxes and climbing up the geodesic domes at parks.”

“My new lifestyle has impacted our family home in more ways than I ever imagined. My wife was a huge sceptic and watched me through the program for four months until she unwillingly gave it a go,” he says. “She is now part of the 100 Pound Club! We are both aware of what we eat each day and never take the easy route like we use to.”

Making his kids to be part of his journey gave them the chance to celebrate Daniel’s success and realise all the benefits of health and wellness. “When I got the call that I was an IsaBody Finalist I was surprised, shocked and a little confused,” he says. “It hit me as soon as I got off the phone. I happen to be home with my kids from work on this day and I got down on my knees and asked them for a big hug. I remember saying to them in our hug ‘daddy just won something’.”

“The support I’ve received from the IsaBody Challenge Facebook community has been amazing. I was overwhelmed with the love and support from everyone in the community when I posted my first photo,” Daniel says. “Now I interact with the IsaBody Challenge community by giving back the support that was given to me. Whether it be inspiring videos or posts about Cleanse Day struggles, I try to be real and raw.”

“Whether you want to maintain your goals or pursue next level goals, just make sure you have fun with your IsaBody Challenge, don’t get caught comparing yourself and enjoy your progress,” Daniel says. “How long really is 16 weeks? It will go in the blink of an eye. The lifelong changes you’ll make to your lifestyle will be endless.”

 

Weight loss should not be considered typical. In a study performed in 2012 by University of Illinois at Chicago researchers, subjects lost an average of 4.1 kg with an average of 0.9 kg of the loss from visceral fat after 30 days on an Isagenix system. The subjects also had a greater level of adherence and had more consistent weight loss from week to week compared to subjects on a traditional diet.
