Life on a dairy farm in New Zealand was exactly how START member Amanda Fraser-Jones thought and planned to spend the rest of her working days. With no intention of moving away from farming, an opportunity that she never anticipated unfolded right before her eyes.
At first, Amanda only thought of Isagenix® as a convenient health and wellness system that she could easily adapt to her duties on the farm and before she knew it, she’d lost 9 kg in her first 30 days – enough for her fellow farm girls to comment. “People were noticing what I was doing and asking me questions,” Amanda recalls, “but if anything, I probably blocked it out most of the time because I knew absolutely nothing about network marketing.”
When Amanda finally decided the share her secret, she turned to her mother and sister. From that moment on her team slowly began to grow. But for her business to continue building, Amanda knew she had to reach out to people beyond her local community. Despite hosting events and setting face-to-face meetings, the young Kiwi was yet to explore the real potential of social media.
Along with good friend Gabrielle Deane and sister Rebecca Fraser-Jones, Amanda decided to create Fit Farm Chicks NZ, a Facebook community that combined a passion for farming and good health. What was originally a platform for the trio to share their lives is now a booming success with over 18,000 followers.
“It’s been incredible to have people message saying how much they love what we’re doing and it’s grown our businesses to a level where we were starting to reach out to people we didn’t know,” she says. “Even though we might not have met them before, it already feels like we’ve built a relationship through what we share on the page.”
Amanda believes that community is a fundamental part of any health journey, but even more so for females. Which is why she considers Fit Farm Chicks NZ is the perfect stepping stone for females looking to join Isagenix.
“Togetherness and being part of something that’s really motivating, inspiring and uplifting is something I think appeals to most women,” says Amanda. “Some people say yes before they understand what Isagenix is all about and I think that’s because they’ve already fallen in love with the vibe within the community.”
For someone who knew very little about network marketing, Amanda is the perfect example of exactly what women around the world can achieve. She admits that trying to juggle two kids and a fiancé alongside her business is a challenge, but the opportunity makes it all worth it.
Weight loss should not be considered typical. In a study performed in 2012 by University of Illinois at Chicago researchers, subjects lost an average of 4.1 kg with an average of 0.9 kg of the loss from visceral fat after 30 days on an Isagenix system. The subjects also had a greater level of adherence and had more consistent weight loss from week to week compared to subjects on a traditional diet.
