Gerard Plasmeyer shocked his colleagues when they returned to work after their six-week break. Not even Gerard’s close friends and family could quite believe the transformation he experienced with Isagenix®.

“I was sceptical at first but after watching the results my amazing wife was getting after two weeks I wanted in,” says Gerard. “I had been looking for something for a while after I began noticing how difficult it was to complete daily tasks.”

“Even something as simple as tying my shoelaces was a mission, I would have to take a breather before moving on to the other shoe,” reflects Gerard. “Now it’s never an issue. It’s crazy how the simple things you take for granted become such a struggle when you gain weight.”

From that moment, he decided to start his health and wellness journey with a 30-Day Weight Loss System. “I followed the program religiously and I started seeing some unbelievable results,” he says. “It felt incredible to see the results and I started to feel happy again with a real sense of pride in my achievements.”

His most memorable achievement is undoubtedly becoming part of the 100 Pound Club. “Being inducted into the 100 Pound Club was so special to me and I have loved inspiring others along the way,” he says. “Andrew Striver and I were on the same journey together. We both made each other accountable and in the end, it became a race to make the 100 Pound Club.”

While Gerard had the support of Andrew, the IsaBody Challenge® community and his loving family, there was another goal that he was striving towards. “I used to be able to water ski when I was younger. I tried it before my weight-loss journey and failed,” he recalls. “My son even said to me ‘Dad you’re just too fat!’ That was the lowest of low points for me.”

“When I set my goals one of them was to be able to water ski again which I achieved last summer,” he shares. “That was definitely the highlight of my journey, it was a fantastic feeling and I was so proud.”

The 100 Pound Club is by no means the end of Gerard’s health and wellness journey. Despite some recent setbacks, he is more determined than ever to achieve his new goals. “I want to become the best person I can be physically and mentally, so I can be around to see my family grow up and enjoy a nice long retirement together with my wife,” he says. “My family has a history of heart issues, so I don’t want to be another statistic. I’m doing everything I can to set my body up to have the best chance to continue water skiing and enjoying the lake life with the whole family.”

“My advice to others would be to surround yourself with like-minded people who are on a similar journey and always ask for help, no matter how small the problem is,” says Gerard. “Join the IsaBody Challenge and Start, Complete, Repeat over and over because it is hands down the best way to keep yourself accountable, make new friends, learn, motivate and inspire.”

Weight loss should not be considered typical. In a study performed in 2012 by University of Illinois at Chicago researchers, subjects lost an average of 4.1 kg with an average of 0.9 kg of the loss from visceral fat after 30 days on an Isagenix system. The subjects also had a greater level of adherence and had more consistent weight loss from week to week compared to subjects on a traditional diet.
