Bianca Walpole
Age: 25
Location: VIC, AU
Challenge Start Weight: 73 kgs
Challenge End Weight: 67 kgs
Total Challenges Completed: 9
What made this particular IsaBody Challenge® so special for Bianca was the weight-loss milestone she reached – an impressive 50 kg total weight loss achieved through incorporating the Isagenix System into her daily routine, consistency and hard work.
Upping the ante for this Challenge, Bianca shifted her focus from losing weight to gaining muscle and shaping her body. “I lost 6 kgs in total but I’ve also started to put on muscle mass which is exciting,” she shares. “I’m loving seeing what my body is capable of and watching it change every day.”
Healthy, energetic, passionate and balanced, Bianca takes her health and wellness journey day by day. “I would often compare myself to others and even felt ashamed by the fact that I had a weight-loss story to tell,” she reflects. “Overcoming those things took a lot of work but now I’m proudly sharing my journey. Inspiring others is what I’m most passionate about.”
Ruka Te Moana
Age: 36
Location: New Plymouth, NZ
Challenge Start Weight: 98 kgs
Challenge End Weight: 93 kgs
Total Challenges Completed: 4
Reflecting over his previous Challenges, Ruka admits his journey has been far from perfect. Ruka’s journey reminds us that being perfect isn’t the key to success – it’s choosing to be better than the person you were yesterday. “About 6 weeks into this Challenge I let my nutrition slip,” he shares. “I was still training, still using the Isagenix System but my third meals were lacking, I wasn’t keeping up with my Cleanse Days and I was taking shortcuts.”
With an inspirational weight loss of 23 kgs since joining Isagenix in 2014, Ruka was ready to take his training and diet up a notch in order to lose fat while gaining muscle. “Towards the end of my Challenge I found I was letting the stress of my job get to me and was slipping back into bad habits,” he admits. “I quickly realised what I was doing and turned it all around, still managing to lose 5 kgs of unwanted weight and packing on some muscle.”
Keeping himself accountable, Ruka has already registered for his next Challenge and aims to combine it with the Healthy Mind and Body program. “It works, you just need to trust the process and trust in yourself,” he says. “Bring on the next 16 weeks!”
Marie Waldron
Age: 45
Location: Hamilton, NZ
Challenge Start Weight: 107.4 kgs
Challenge End Weight: 92 kgs
Total Challenges Completed: 1
With a desire to become the healthy, confident woman she knew she was destined to be, Marie joined the IsaBody Challenge to give her the push she needed. “I would see how confident other people were within themselves and I wanted to gain that confidence,” she says. “I wanted to say ‘yes’ more and let go of the insecurities that sometimes held me back.”
Loving the Isagenix System, Marie felt inspired to hit the gym again and started a workout regime that focused on building muscle and getting her outside her comfort zone. “Along with the gym, I also discovered a love for the outdoors,” she shares. “I’ve forged some incredible friendships along the way which has helped me come out of my shell and become the confident version of myself that I always knew was hiding away.”
Marie’s desire to become a more confident person led her to facing fears such as public speaking, saying ‘yes’ to things she’d normally shy from and even enjoying the beach again. “I’ve still got a long road ahead of me but I’m excited about the possibilities,” she says. “I can’t wait to travel more and keep doing all the things I’ve been too afraid to do.”
Vaughan Robinson
Age: 39
Location: Wellington, NZ
Challenge Start Weight: 94.2 kgs
Challenge End Weight: 93.5 kgs
Total Challenges Completed: 7
In Vaughan’s decade-long career as a pilot, he’s gained his fair share of unhealthy habits. With regular travel often requiring overnight work, it’s no surprise Vaughan’s health and wellness took a turn. “I was sedentary yet perpetually exhausted and my nutrition wasn’t what it should be,” he reflects. “There was definitely room for improvement and the IsaBody Challenge is what pushed me to make changes.”
Now having completed seven Challenges, Vaughan’s lifestyle couldn’t be more different. “The IsaBody Challenge keeps me accountable,” he says. “It helped me to eliminate my bad habits by creating a sustainable, healthy lifestyle – my new normal. I now get my flight and cabin crew together for hotel gym workouts!”
Thankfully, the healthy lifestyle habits built by Vaughan throughout his health and wellness journey allowed him to tackle an injury sustained during his most recent Challenge. “Six weeks in I was injured and advised to stop exercising,” he reflects. “By the time I recovered I had just four weeks left but I didn’t let the setbacks allow me to give up. I finished strong and am so proud of the healthy habits I’ve built over the last several years with Isagenix.”
Shaylee Scott
Age: 28
Location: SA, AU
Challenge Start Weight: 66.1 kgs
Challenge End Weight: 59.2 kgs
Total Challenges Completed: 3
Shortly after giving birth to baby number two, Shaylee registered (and completed) her third IsaBody Challenge. “As a breastfeeding mum I knew how important it was for me to be healthy,” she says. “I wasn’t able to use the full Isagenix System since falling pregnant but my GP was happy for me to continue on with the IsaLean™ shakes and IsaLean bars. I also started exercising again and found a really great balance.”
Balance is a keyword for Shaylee, with the mum of two allowing herself to enjoy social engagements throughout her Challenge without guilt. “I don’t allow them to derail me, I simply enjoy them then go back to my shake the next day!” she says. “I’ve shed 7 kgs throughout this Challenge without sacrificing the things I love. That’s balance.”
Already registered for her next Challenge, Shaylee reiterates the importance of putting yourself first. “It can be hard as a mum to stop and take time for yourself,” she says. “We’re so used to putting everything and everyone before ourselves. The Challenge taught me that putting my health and wellness first makes me an even better mother and I want to inspire other mums to take action and prioritise their physical and mental health.”
Weight-loss results depicted here should not be construed as typical or average. In a study performed in 2012 by University at Chicago researchers, subjects lost an average of 4.1 kg with an average of 0.9 kg of the loss from visceral fat after 30 days on an Isagenix System. The subjects also had a greater level of adherence and had more consistent weight loss from week to week compared to subjects on a traditional diet. Always consult your GP before making any dietary changes or starting any nutrition, weight-loss or exercise program.
