Anna and Morgan Richards are a dynamic duo. Confident, passionate and the picture of health, it seemed nothing could ever shake this power pair. But before Isagenix was introduced into their lives, the couple struggled with their health and wellness, feeling miserable and exhausted in an attempt to maintain what they thought was a healthy lifestyle.
Health and wellness was a priority for Anna and Morgan for some time. Both leading busy lives in demanding, corporate careers, the young couple focused their limited time and energy into losing weight and getting healthy, shedding 40 kgs between them even before finding Isagenix®. “The thing is, even though we’d lost weight, we were absolutely miserable,” recalls Anna. “I had to be so extreme with my lifestyle in order to keep the weight off and although I’d finally earned the body I’d always wanted, I felt lethargic, uninspired and missed having a social life.”
Seeking a life of balance and tired of letting her strict diet control her life, Anna went in search of a system that would allow her and Morgan to regain control. “I found Isagenix through a friend on Facebook,” she reflects. “She was always sharing snaps of her travels and of herself speaking on stage at events. She had so much energy and positivity, and to top it off, looked great! I was keen to know what she was doing and to get involved.”
Learning about the Isagenix products and Compensation Plan, Anna ordered her first pack and couldn’t wait to get started. “I remember Anna coming home and excitedly sharing the news with me about these new products she’d ordered from a network marketing company,” says Morgan. “I was honestly shocked by her decision to get involved and I made my concerns known to her.”
Having spent his working life in a corporate setting, it’s unsurprising that Morgan harboured fear for his wife’s new venture. “Coming from corporate, you hear about network marketing and it’s always presented as something you should kind of avoid,” he explains. “I thought I knew better and felt a lot of resistance. That’s the place I was in but I knew I had to trust Anna’s judgement and show her support even if I didn’t understand her decision.”
Sticking to her guns, Anna followed the Isagenix System, earning herself the results she’d be searching for. “I had more energy and I was able to have a social life without fear of undoing all my hard work,” she says. “Morgan also began using the products soon after but he didn’t have any interest in learning more about the business-side of things.”
Passionate about extending her network, Anna involved herself within the Isagenix community by attending events. “I’ve always had a dream to retire my mum and I knew that a 9-5 corporate career wasn’t going to do that for me,” she says. “At events, I began to learn how to take my business to new levels and grow and develop a strong team. Morgan saw my involvement with Isagenix as a hobby and there are a lot of people out there who treat it that way. I quickly learned through the top leaders presenting at events that if you want to be successful, you need to treat this business the same way you’d treat a traditional business.”
Reflecting on her journey, Anna admits starting out with such a huge ‘why’ could’ve been detrimental to her progression with Isagenix in the early days and she quickly broke down her goal into smaller, achievable goals. “I started with a big ‘why’, bigger than a lot of people,” she says. “If I had kept that as my main goal I would have given up. I set myself smaller goals, like utilising ‘You Share, They Share, Repeat’ to help pay for my products. Then from there my goals continued to grow. I wanted to prove to myself that it worked and it did!”
Working her business alone without the involvement of her husband began to weigh on Anna and the rush of excitement she’d been getting from earning incentive trips and extra income was beginning to wear off. “I had proven to myself that this business model worked and I was absolutely loving the journey but I didn’t have Morgan experiencing it all with me, “she says. “I ended up getting him to an event, IsaU Perth, and that absolutely transformed his belief. He went from quietly supportive husband to involved business partner – he’d finally caught the vision.”
Five years down the track and with countless accolades to their name, our newest Isagenix Legacy Club Millionaires*, 6 Star Golden Circle, 3 Star Crystal Executives, wouldn’t be where they are today if it wasn’t for their resilience and belief. “Perth is a bit like a country town – everyone knows everyone and there’s a lot of gossip,” says Morgan. “Anna really led the way when she chose to pursue Isagenix. Young people weren’t leaving their careers to be full-time network marketers and she was brave enough to go first. If we had let the opinions of others stop us, we wouldn’t be hitting this milestone, we wouldn’t have helped thousands of people take control of their health, we wouldn’t have the time flexibility to help support the homeless the way that we do now and we wouldn’t have the income to truly live life to our truest potential. It’s all about being consistent and striving for greatness, even if your business is at a standstill. Keep pushing through the plateaus, the doubts and the naysayers because it pays off. We can now strive for even more achievements in the best health possible.”
