We are proud to announce that at this year’s US 2015 ‘Breakthrough’ Celebration event in San Diego, Isagenix Associates raised more than US$565,000 for Make-A-Wish®. This surpasses last year’s total and proves that with the help of Associates like you we truly are making a difference in the lives of others.
Isagenix and Make-A-Wish also made another dream come true as we surprised wish kid Tanika with an onstage wish reveal.
“We are dedicated to playing a significant role in impacting the overall health and well-being of others through our support of children’s charities,” said Kathy Coover, Isagenix Co-Founder and Executive Vice President. “Our team loves to see the happiness reflected in the faces of the children and families we help, especially when they realise that we have helped to make their one wish come true.”
Tanika’s story
Since 2013, 10-year-old Tanika has been battling a rare form of leukaemia. After nine hospital stays, continuous rounds of chemotherapy and recovering from six fractures in her back, her family is proud to say that she is now in her last year of treatment.
Since regaining her body’s mobility, Tanika is once again able to do what she loves. Tanika is a born performer who loves to sing and dance for her family and friends. She even performed a dance routine onstage in front of 12,000 people at US Celebration!
“We just keep reminding her how far she has come and encourage her to keep moving forward,” says Tanika’s mother, Thereece. “She is truly a remarkable person with a lot of courage and strength.”
At the event, we excitedly revealed to Tanika and her family that her wish to have a backyard makeover will be granted in the US autumn! Her new backyard will be complete with a foam pit, trampoline, zipline, family dining area and of course, her very own stage for performing and bringing smiles to all of her family and friends!
